SCROLL DOWN FOR TUBEJUICE SOUND SAMPLES

Check out these SOUND CLIPS, below, of different settings of attenuation of the TUBEJUICE. I've recorded a range starting at 0% attenuation (MAX on the TUBEJUICE) to 95% attenuation (MIN on the TUBEJUICE). The amp is an 80's Peavey Classic 50 Watt head connected to a 212 cab with Celestion 25 Watt Greenbacks. The cab is miked with a Shure SM57 running into a PreSonus InspireGT which is running into my Macintosh G4 ibook. The digital recording was made with Cubase LE and these clips were exported as MP3's. The guitar I'm using is a 2001 Gibson Doublecut Les Paul with a pair of vintage 1960's Gibson P-90's that sound awesome. I've got the volume turned up all the way on the guitar to get the hottest signal for the punchiest tone. Of course, different amps and guitars will produce different sounds but this Peavey and Gibson guitar will go from clean to a badass blues mojo machine and then to some rightous 80's metal and everything inbetween. The links to the SOUND CLIPS are on the right side of this page.

I'm starting with the level on the amp at 3 which is plenty loud enough for practice, any level above that starts to be too loud if other people are around. Any level above 4 and 5 are simply way too loud and will definitely bother anyone else in the house. I'm adjusting the TUBEJUICE to keep the same decibel level of the amp when it set to 3, except I'm using the TUBEJUICE to control the level to keep it from getting too loud. This is what an attenuator is all about, cranking the amp up getting the power tube distortion at bedroom levels.

TUBEJUICE Tube Amp Attentuators let you crank your amplifier up to the maximum volume in order to get that delicious power tube distortion and saturation. It's the tube tone that guitar players search for, and dare I say even lust for. All of the guitar tones you hear on your favorite albums have been created by running a tube amplifier at full gain into a studio isolation booth and/or Attenuator. The TUBEJUICE Attenuator will let you capture that sound at a volume that won't get you kicked out of your band or your apartment. Power tube distortion cannot be achieved at safe decibel levels without an attenuator to push the tubes into gain saturation at bedroom levels. If you're looking for new tube tone territory, you owe it to yourself to try the TUBEJUICE Attenuator today.
